  • 2001-Present Incorporated claims adjusting component and became PRO Home Inspection & Claims Service, Inc. Lines of service include whole house inspections, first and third party property losses, consultant for construction defect issues and pre-insuring risk evaluations.
  • 2000 Founded PRO Home Inspection Service, a residential home inspection business, to utilize construction knowledge and complement claims adjusting experience.
  • 1997-2001 Property and construction defect specialist for William Janicki Adjusters; promoted to Property Claims Manager. Responsibilities included cause of loss determination, scheduling and supervising destructive testing, large loss investigations, evaluating business interruption claims, assisting attorneys with pre-trial discovery, staff training, business development and supervising property losses handled by other adjusters. Concurrently taught evening classes and weekend crash courses for Contractor’s State Licensing Service, a school that prepared prospective contractors for taking state exams.
  • 1995-1997 School teacher in the Elk Grove Unified School District. Concurrently served as a consultant for William Janicki Adjusters on a part-time basis for property and construction defect losses.
  • 1994-1995 Property adjuster for Bob Bill Adjusters/Sierra Claims Service. Utilized construction knowledge and computerized estimating program to enhance effectiveness in assisting policy holders, contractors and carriers in ascertaining costs of repair; investigated and evaluated subrogation potential for carrier’s recovery units. Concurrently served as a substitute teacher in the Elk Grove Unified School District.
  • 1992-1994 Residential and Commercial Property adjuster with Maryland Casualty Insurance Company. Identified possible fraud cases and assisted S.I.U. with their investigations; researched and evaluated coverage issues, directed field staff for independent adjusting companies. Concurrently attended evening classes at National University, served as a student teacher in the Elk Grove Unified School District and obtained a multiple-subject teaching credential.
  • 1990-1992 Multi-line resident adjuster for Sam’s & Associates with emphasis on property claims; investigated and evaluated large losses; employed with American Bankers Insurance Company as a multi-line resident adjuster with emphasis on auto losses. Continuing education at Vale Tech.
  • 1987-1990 Multi-line adjuster with AIMS; promoted to Branch Manager; responsibilities included supervision of staff, business development and investigation of serious property losses.
  • 1983-1987 Multi-line adjuster for Underwriters Adjusting Company with an emphasis on property losses. Accounts included public entities such as Department of Veterans Affairs and County of San Joaquin; participated in numerous settlement conferences and structured settlement presentations. Continuing education included Tort Law and Contract Law classes in Stockton, California.
  • 1980-1983 Multi-line adjuster for GAB Business Services; promoted to supervising adjuster, attended various schools, including five week basic training, intermediate property and intermediate causality; responsibilities included determining cause of loss, preparing estimates, obtaining statements, accident scene investigation and preparation of reports.
